Chargeback Policy

A chargeback is a process that allows a credit cardholder to dispute a transaction and request a refund from the card issuer. Chargebacks are typically initiated for various reasons, including unauthorized transactions, billing errors, or dissatisfaction with the goods or services received.

The chargeback procedure involves several steps:

1. Terms and Conditions

  • All chargeback requests must be submitted within 14 days from the date of purchase and will be processed according to the terms and conditions of the service providers.

  • Refund and Return Policy Terms and Conditions apply.

2. Cardholder Contacts Issuer:

  • The cardholder identifies a transaction they wish to dispute and contacts their credit card issuer.

  • This contact is usually made by phone, but it can also be done online or in writing.

2. Issuer Reviews Claim:

  • The issuer investigates the claim to determine its validity.

  • They may request supporting documentation from the cardholder, such as receipts, invoices, or communication with HK Accessories.

​

3. Issuer Notifies HK Accessories:

  • If the issuer finds the claim valid, they notify the HK Accessories of the chargeback.

  • HK Accessories is informed of the reason for the chargeback and may be asked to provide evidence to dispute the claim.

4. HK Accessories Responds:

  • HK Accessories can respond to the chargeback by providing evidence that the transaction was legitimate.

  • This evidence may include proof of delivery, signed receipts, or communication records.

​

5. Issuer Makes Decision:

  • The issuer reviews the evidence from both parties and makes a decision.

  • If the chargeback is upheld, the cardholder is refunded, and HK Accessories is debited the disputed amount.

​

6. Arbitration (if necessary):

  • In some cases, if the dispute is not resolved through the standard chargeback process, it may go to arbitration.

  • The card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) may intervene to make a final decision.

​

7. Resolution:

  • Based on the outcome of the issuer's investigation or arbitration, the cardholder or HK Accessories is notified of the resolution.
